A Marriage of True Minds

Brief Summary

A Marriage of True Minds, is a staged reading of the correspondence letters between John and Abigail Adams written over the course of several years while he was urging American independence and encouraging help from France during the American Revolution. It is performed as “readers theater” and was written for the stage in 2003 by Martin P. Kelly. It stars Rita Russell as Abigail and Scott Payne as John Adams.

Join Our Exciting Summer Puppetry Camp:

“Let’s All Go to the Lobby!”

What’s one of the best parts about going to the Drive-In or Movies? The Snack Bar, of Course! 

Calling all young performers in grades 3-8!

Dive into the magical world of puppetry at our 2026 summer camp, where creativity meets fun! This unique camp is inspired by the beloved tune “Let’s All Go to the Lobby!” 

  • Create original Hand and Rod puppets to entertain and entice everyone to “have ourselves a Treat!” 
  • Parody the classic Intermission Snack Bar announcements made famous in the 50’s & 60’s.
  • Popcorn, Hot Dogs, Ice Cream and Soda Pop will all tell their silly stories.
  • Sing along with a classic Jingle that you will never forget, as we perform an original show that’s all about the Intermission!

Instructor: Scott Payne 

Date: June 29th through July 3rd 2026

Time: 9am til 3 pm

Tuition: Cost: $125.00 for first child and $100.00 for each brother or sister!

2025 Spring Puppetry Camp:

“Let’s All Go to the Lobby!”

Calling all young performers in grades 3-8! Dive into the magical world of puppetry at our 2025 spring camp, where creativity meets fun! This unique camp is inspired by the beloved intermission and snack bar ads that bring joy to moviegoers everywhere.

Camp Highlights:

Puppetry Skills: Each day campers worked on the art of puppetry from experienced instructors! Participants will explore various techniques, including puppet creation, manipulation, and storytelling.

Relative Themes: Each day, campers worked on developing their own puppet characters and skits, all centered around the whimsical theme of “Let’s All Go to the Lobby!” Get ready to bring your favorite snacks and movie moments to life!

Performance Opportunity: At the end of the camp, campers showcased their creations in a fun-filled performance for family and friends.
