Claire Nolan is an accomplished and entertaining Storyteller! Her variety of folktales, literary tales, myths and personal stories resonate with audiences both young and old. She has appeared at Caffe Lena, Tellabration Celebrations, Saratoga First Night, Emma Treadwell Thacher Nature Center, Grafton Lakes State Park, Hoolie on the Hudson in Kingston, NY, Story Sundays at the Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia, NY, and at festivals, conferences, colleges, libraries, schools and community events in New York and New England.
Through the Great Minds Series of the Schenectady Theater for Children, Claire also tells the stories of women whose lives have made an impact on the way we live today. She is a member of the Story Circle of the Capital District a story tellers' guild located in Upstate NY. Her repertoire includes Historical Stories, International Folk Tales, Myths, Literary Stories and Personal Family Stories
In selecting the characters to be portrayed, consideration has been taken that the term "great mind" should not be exclusive to the field of science, but should include the social sciences and the arts as well. A truly great mind is not only marked by genius, but also by creativity, patience and tolerance.
